Palm Trimming
Queen, king, date and fan palms. Old fronds, pods and flowers come off and the trunk gets cleaned so nothing drops on the walkway.
Brush and Acacia Clearing
Overgrown slopes, fence lines and canyon edges cut back. We have cleared 150 feet of thick acacia in a single day.
Stump Grinding
Stump ground below grade so you can put in sod, a planter or concrete without working around it.
Cleanup and Haul Away
Everything we cut leaves with us. Wood loaded, brush chipped, driveway and sidewalk blown clean before we pull out.
We thin a canopy. We do not top it.
A lot of the trees we get called about were topped by someone else and left with a bare trunk. Where the structure is still good, careful thinning brings the shape back.
If a tree really is a hazard, we say so, take it down in pieces, grind the stump and haul it all off. You hear the reasoning before you hear the price.

What areas does Carrillo's Tree Service cover?
We are based on Hilltop Drive in Chula Vista and work across the South Bay and San Diego, including Bonita, National City, Imperial Beach, Coronado, Spring Valley and La Mesa. Call and we will tell you right away if your address is on our route.
Are estimates free?
Yes. Pedro comes out, looks at the tree and gives you a price for the work you talked about. Nothing owed either way.
How fast can you get out?

Do you clean palms as well as trim them?
Yes. Old fronds, seed pods and flowers come off and the trunk gets cleaned up. Queen and king palms are usually a once a year job.
Do you top trees?
No. Topping leaves a bare trunk and weak regrowth. We thin the canopy so the tree keeps its structure.
Do you clear brush and overgrown slopes?
Yes, that is a big part of what we do. Acacia, fence lines, canyon edges and defensible space around the house.
Do you haul everything away?
Always. Brush chipped, wood loaded, driveway and walkways blown clean before we leave.
Can you remove a tree in a tight back yard?
Yes. Most removals come down in controlled pieces over fences, pools and patios rather than being dropped whole.
Do you grind the stump too?
We can. Say the word when you get your estimate and we will price the grinding with the removal.
